Consignment and Brokerage TermsIf you're interested in either consigning or brokering equipment with Cambridge Scientific, please review our consignment and brokerage terms, both listed below. Consignment TermsThe equipment being sold is the property of Consignor, and there are no legal judgements or liens against that property, and that the information provided to Cambridge Scientific Products (CSP) is factual and accurate. CSP will take physical possession of the property, and be responsible for all costs of transporting equipment to our warehouse, and for all costs of warehousing equipment. CSP will arrange for service and repairs of equipment.
CSP will arrange for all sales and transportation to purchaser. All approved repair costs and transportation costs to purchaser will be deducted from the sales price of the equipment prior to disbursement of proceeds to Consignor. All proceeds will be divided evenly (50:50) between Consignor and CSP. All proceeds will be distributed on a monthly basis.
Agreement cannot be terminated for 60 days, Consignor may elect to terminate the agreement with CSP at any time prior to the sale of the item(s) by requesting through letter, fax, or e-mail that the agreement be terminated. Consignor agrees to pay for all shipping and handling charges incurred from return of equipment to the Consignor. After 60 days, Consignor is under no obligation to sell an item exclusively with CSP, and can make its own efforts to sell consigned equipment. CSP has the right to return an item to the Consignor if Consignor has misrepresented the item’s condition, age, history, or identity. Consignor agrees to pay for all shipping and handling charges incurred from return of equipment. Brokerage TermsThe equipment being sold is the property of Seller, and there are no legal judgements or liens against that property, and that the information provided to Cambridge Scientific Products (CSP) is factual and accurate. The Seller will retain physical possession of the property and will provide CSP with specifications, descriptions, photographs and any other documentation necessary for CSP to represent and market the equipment to potential buyers. CSP will endeavor to sell the item(s) at an agreeable price to the seller, the purchaser, and CSP. Because we act as your agent, we would expect a percentage of the sale as commission or you would receive a minimum asking price and CSP would add an additional amount to the buyer’s final price. All proceeds will be distributed on a negotiated basis.
