The broadened pressure range with maximum pressure of 600 bar allows the use of small particle size columns, longer columns, or alternative solvents of higher viscosity. The quaternary pump comprises an optional solvent cabinet, a vacuum degasser

 and a four- channel gradient pump. The four- channel gradient

provides enough space for four one- liter bottles. An active seal wash
