The NanoDrop 1000 Spectrophotometer measures 1 ul samples with high accuracy and reproducibility. The full spectrum (220nm-750nm) spectrophotometer utilizes a patented sample retention technology that employs surface tension alone to hold the sample in place. This eliminates the need for cumbersome cuvettes and other sample containment devices and allows for clean up in seconds. In addition, the NanoDrop 1000 Spectrophotometer has the capability to measure highly concentrated samples without dilution (50X higher concentration than the samples measured by a standard cuvette spectrophotometer).
UV/VIS spectrophotometry is simple for samples as small as 1 ul using the NanoDrop 1000 Spectrophotometer. The small sample requirement and ease of use make the NanoDrop 1000 Spectrophotometer ideally suited for measuring:
• Nucleic acid concentration and purity of nucleic acid samples up to 3700 ng/ul (dsDNA) without dilution
• Fluorescent dye labeling density of nucleic acid microarray samples
• Purified protein analysis (A280) up to 100 mg/ml (BSA)
• Expanded spectrum measurement and quantitation of fluorescent dye labeled proteins, conjugates, and metalloproteins
• Bradford Assay analysis of protein
• BCA Assay analysis of protein
• Lowry Assay analysis of protein
• Pierce Protein 660 nm Protein Assay
• Cell density measurements
• General UV-Vis spectrophotometry

Multiskan Spectrum makes getting results easier, replacing separate spectrophotometers and microplate reading instruments by providing both functions in one convenient, compact instrument. The Multiskan Spectrum is truly two instruments in one, combining both cuvette reading capabilities and advanced microplate reading in one convenient, compact instrument. You can easily take quick absorbance measurements in a cuvette between the cycles of a microplate enzyme kinetics experiment.
For maximum flexibility, Multiskan Spectrum accepts all microplate for mats from 6- to 384-wells, as well as cuvettes from standard to ultra micro capacities in glass, plastic, or quartz. You can take multiple photometric readings per well on large format plates, or single measure ments requiring just 30 μl in 384-well plates.
Scanning range of 200 – 1000 nm. The built-in monochromator makes it simple to select any wavelength from 200 nm to 1000 nm in 1 nm steps without ever changing a filter. Sample absorbances can be scanned over the whole spectrum either in microplates or cuvettes.

The SPECTRAmax 250 microplate spectrophotometer has a xenon flash lamp and grating monochromator that facilitate direct UV measurement of DNA- RNA- and protein in microplates. Up to 96 assays can be run at one time using disposable or quartz microplates. The purity of DNA can be measured with A260/A280 ratios. Also- users can perform spectral scans from 250 nm to 750 nm to simplify qualitative analyses of numerous samples. The product reportedly reduces sample volumes in experiments because the assays are performed in a microplate instead of cuvettes. SOFTmax PRO microplate data- analysis software- for use with the SPECTRAmax 250- provides built-in spreadsheet capabilities for easy data analysis and reporting.

Nicolet FT-IR spectrometers from Thermo Electron Corporation are the highest performance FT-IR systems available. While the spectrometer has the power to handle the most advanced research-level experiments, routine analyses are performed just as conveniently. Every facet of the Nicolet FT-IR spectrometer has been engineered to facilitate sample handling, introduce options to scientists, and increase laboratory throughput.
Specifications:
The Direct Detect system provides accurate results without the pitfalls of colorimetric assays. By measuring amide bonds in protein chains, the system accurately determines an intrinsic component of every protein without relying on amino acid composition, dye binding properties or reduction-oxidation (redox) potential. Also, evaluation of other components of complex mixtures separable from the protein spectral region, like lipids, make lysates and membrane preps easier than ever.
