Beckman SW40 TI Rotor

Cambridge Scientific ID: 29339 Category: Tag:

Description

The SW 40 Ti, rated for 40,000 rpm, is a swinging bucket rotor designed to centrifuge up to six tubes. Used in Beckman Coulter class H, R, and S preparative ultracentrifuges, the rotor develops centrifugal forces for the separation and purification of small particles. Typical applications include separation of RNA, proteins, and subcellular particles in solution using rate zonal centrifugation.

The rotor body and buckets are made of titanium and finished with black polyurethane paint. Bucket caps are anodized aluminum. The bucket and cap assemblies hook over the crossbar of the rotor hanger mechanism. Gaskets, made of Buna N rubber, between each bucket and bucket cap maintain atmospheric pressure inside the buckets during centrifugation.
