The Eppendorf Centrifuge 5430 R is a unique cross-over refrigerated centrifuge that combines the small footprint of a microcentrifuge with the versatility of a multipurpose centrifuge. Despite its extremely compact size, it accommodates a wide range of rotors, including options for Eppendorf tubes, PCR strips, microplates, and 15/50 mL conical tubes with support for 12 different rotor configurations in total. The rotor program includes Eppendorf QuickLock rotors, such as 48-place rotors for 1.5/2.0 mL tubes, a 16-place rotor for 5.0 mL Eppendorf Tubes, and a swing-bucket rotor for 24 x 1.5/2.0 mL tubes. As a refrigerated model, the 5430 R features patented compressor technology that reduces vibration to protect samples, continuous cooling to maintain temperature after a run completes, and Eppendorf’s FastTemp pro function for programmable pre-cooling based on day and time, making it a strong fit for busy labs needing fast, versatile, and temperature-controlled sample processing across a wide range of protocols.
