The Savant RVT400-120 is a refrigerated vapor trap designed to work in conjunction with a SpeedVac concentrator or other vacuum system, effectively condensing and trapping solvent vapors that could otherwise contaminate and degrade vacuum pump oil. Manufactured by Savant (now part of Thermo Scientific), the RVT400-120 protects sensitive samples and laboratory equipment during evaporation and concentration processes, making it well-suited for applications such as biological sample concentration and chemical reactions. Its sealed refrigeration system eliminates the need for consumable coolants like dry ice or acetone, offering a more efficient and convenient alternative for solvent trapping in busy lab environments.
