These upright freezers offer a spacious 780 l (27.5 cu.ft.) storage cabinet, ensuring stable and uniform storage at a temperature of -86 °C. Unlike conventional cascade refrigeration systems, they operate at a fraction of the cost. The SU780XLE models combine a free-piston stirling engine, thin-wall vacuum insulated panels, and non-HFC polyurethane foam with the environmentally friendly blowing agent Ecomate. The stirling engine’s continuous modulation and adaptive capabilities eliminate the on-off cycling found in compressor-based systems, resulting in exceptional cooling performance, reliability, and energy efficiency. With a storage capacity of 780 l (27.5 cu. ft.) and the ability to accommodate 600 2 ml boxes, the SU780XLE stores one-third more samples per square foot of floor space compared to similar models. It also offers the widest cooling temperature range in the industry, from -20 to -86 °C. The touchpad inputs ensure secure access and programming for all control functions and alarm setpoints.
The SU780XLE models are designed with an auto-voltage range of 100 V to 240 V (±10%) and can automatically adjust to either 50 or 60 Hz. This feature eliminates the need for factory modifications, allowing the units to operate on any outlet. The user only needs to install the appropriate cord for their receptacle. The SU780XLE units come with both a NEMA 5-15P plug for standard NEMA 5-15R receptacles (120 V) and a NEMA 6-15P plug for standard NEMA 6-15R receptacles (240 V).
