The Tecan Freedom EVO-2 200 is the largest and most advanced platform in Tecan’s Freedom EVO series, designed to meet the demands of high-throughput laboratories requiring extensive automation. It features an extensive worktable with up to 69 grids of workspace, modular architecture, and the capacity to integrate up to three robotic arms simultaneously, allowing complex, multi-step liquid handling protocols to be automated with high reliability. Pipetting arms are available in 2-, 4-, or 8-channel configurations and can be combined with 96- or 384-channel pipetting heads, giving labs the flexibility to tailor the system to their specific throughput and application needs. With Tecan’s proprietary Te-PS (Tecan Positioning System) technology, the platform delivers high-precision positioning even for dense microplate formats up to 1536 wells, ensuring reproducible, robust results across a broad range of volumes, from 0.5 µL up to over 5 mL. The system is compatible with a wide array of peripherals and accessories, including incubators, microplate readers and washers, magnetic and vacuum separation systems, and shakers, making it a highly extensible platform for large-scale and high-throughput workflows such as nucleic acid purification, sample prep, and general automated liquid handling.
