The ECM 630 is an exponential decay wave electroporation generator providing a broad range of voltage and time constants for full flexibility in varying transfection applications. The ability to select the resistance and capacitance values, and adjust the range of voltages is the key to achieving the optimal time constants and field strengths needed for efficient transformation of prokaryote and eukaryote transfection. The ECM 630 can perform the widest range of electroporation applications among commercially available electroporation generators. Legacy ECM 630 systems are available while supplies last as we transition to new ECM 630 instruments.
The Accuris myGel Mini electrophoresis system includes all of the equipment that you need to get up and running - gel tank, power supply and two casting sets. Ideal for personal use, small laboratories or the classroom, this gel box/power supply combination is compact and easy to use. The myGel mini gel box attaches directly to the power supply for a secure connection every time. Selectable parameters include 3 preset voltages - 35V, 50V or 100V - and a 99 minute timer. All are set using the membrane keypad. The safety lid is vented to help dissipate heat generated during electrophoresis, and features a viewing area above the gel. Current will only run through the system when the lid is properly in place on top of the gel box.
The Mini Gel Tank is compatible with a variety of Novex mini gels, NuPAGE mini gels, and Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels. Each Mini Gel Tank can accommodate up to two gels per run. The unique tank design enables convenient side-by-side gel loading and enhanced viewing during use. Optimized conditions using constant voltage allow for Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels to be run in approximately 35 minutes. Run times may vary depending on buffer conditions and power supplies being used.
The DSG-200-02 dual vertical system allows for two gels to be run simultaneously under identical buffer conditions. The cooling chamber assures constant temperature during electrophoresis. It also allows for two different gel casting options, the multi-caster method and the gel wrap casting system.
The Ettan IPGphor II from GE Healthcare is the ideal option for obtaining perfectly resolved first dimensions of 2D gels. The manufacturer claims that the system provides ‘reproducibility, reliability, speed, accuracy, high protein loading capacity, and high throughput’, and in my experience, the system really stands up to their claim. To begin with, the system is very compact and can be housed on a tabletop in any corner of the lab. It is perfectly silent and occupies little space. The system requires an ambient, dust-free operating environment; however, we keep the instrument in a well air-conditioned room. The system contains gold-plated copper electrodes that provide the necessary contact to the 1D strips for carrying out isoelectric focusing. A very high voltage is applied between the electrodes and, therefore, caution should be used while handling the instrument. As a safety feature, the electrodes are automatically switched off when anyone opens the lid of the instrument.

The Gene Pulser II system uses the Pulse Trac waveform delivery system to generate the most accurate exponential decay pulses possible for optimal cell transformation within an electroporation cuvette. The Pulse Trac delivery system accurately calculates the time constant of each pulse based on what is actually delivered to the sample.
