The sliding microtome HM 450 from Thermo Scientific is a highly efficient instrument with specimen retraction during return travel. It can be used for sectioning paraffin in the routine lab. The main applications are in human and veterinary medicine. Moreover, the sliding microtome can be used for the specimen preparation in the medical and industrial research. Large and hard specimens from pharmaceuticals industry or from quality assurance labs can also be sectioned. The cross roller bearings on sledge and block allow non-tiring working and a smooth sliding movement with optimal stability. The HM 450 will cut sections from 0 µm to 100 µm. The specimen clamping can be moved up and downwards via the two arrow-shaped coarse feed buttons on the left side of the instrument. This way, specimen and knife edge distance can be adjusted quickly. The knife carrier is designed so the knives can be easily clamped in place and adjusted. The coaxial specimen orientation allows orientation with one hand.

The Eclipse 90i delivers a completely integrated, totally optimized digital microscopy system engineered to master the most demanding applications. The system is equipped with a broad range of designed-for-digital CFI Plan Apo VC objectives, delivering incredibly crisp, clean and true-to-life images. Combine this with the 90i's exclusive motorized digital head, proprietary "fly-eye" lens array, and integrated epi-fluorescence attachment, and you have a motorized microscope system geared to take the work out of adjusting the microscope so you can spend more time on what really matters – your research.
The Micromass-ZQ 2000 (Mass Selective Detector) is a robust single quadrupole mass spectrometer, offering characteristic performance for laboratories that require nominal mass resolution for mass confirmation applications. This system has a mass range (amu) up to 2000 daltons. Easily qualify and quantify small molecules in a flash with the highly sensitive system. Both inlet probes are quickly and easily interchangeable without breaking vacuum. Flow rates allowed are 5-1000 µl/min (ESI) and 200-2000 µl/min (APCI).
